Steve March Torme
Steve March Torme returns on Las Vegas Backstage Talk radio show to promote his weekend at The Smith Center April 14 & 15 at 7pm.
Steve delivers Our Songs, an evening of music audience’s love from Ray Charles, Cole Porter, Lennon/McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Rodgers & Hart, Aretha Franklin, Harry Warren, and so many more. With that voice, these songs, and a virtuoso quartet, this is an exhilarating show, made even more captivating by Steve’s charisma, ease and humor.
Sample selections include “Until You Come Back to Me, “You Don’t Know Me,” “I Only Have Eyes for You,” “Blue Moon,” “We Can Work It Out,” “Overjoyed”, “Every Time We Say Goodbye,” and more.
Steve’s extraordinary voice has electrified audiences in venues from the Detroit Jazz Festival to the McCallum Performing Arts Center in Palm Desert, CA, to the Smith Center in Las Vegas, and worldwide from London to Japan, Australia to Brazil and Canada. It might seem an obvious choice that Steve would enter the family business, but he discovered his love for music almost by accident. Steve was born in New York City to the multi-talented Mel Tormé and the former model/actress, Candy Tockstein. They were divorced when Steve was young, and Candy married Hal March, an actor/comedian best known as the host of NBC-TV’s The $64,000 Question Show, but who also starred on Broadway in Neil Simon’s Come Blow Your Horn.

Bill Maher, Jarrett & Raja, Tommy Savitt

Audio of interviews are posted below
Comedian Bill Maher, Vegas Magic Duo Jarrett & Raja, and Tommy Savitt, the comedian behind “Tommy Lama”, guest on Las Vegas Backstage Talk radio show with Comedian Michele LaFong.
Bill has set the boundaries of political humor on what is just about allowed on American television, yet still manages to push the envelope on a frequent basis. His combination of unflinching honesty and blunt observations have earned him a staggering 23 Emmy nominations, a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, and he will be showing off his stuff as he hits the Terry Fator Theatre in Las Vegas , NV , March 10 & 11.
Particularly known for his hugely critical views on religion, Maher’s humor squares to the left of center, and has more often than not set his cross-hairs on the right-wing political movement (particularly the Tea Party), and shows a vociferous support for universal health care, same-sex marriage and environmentalism. However, since the events of 9/11, he has supported racial profiling at transport hubs, and is a supporter of gun rights.
As well as his long-running television panel show Real Time With Bill Maher, he is still a keen participant on the political comedy circuit, often performing over 60 dates per year.

Tom Cotter
Being a stand-up comedian is one thing, but being a stand-up comedian on a nationally televised reality competition show is an entirely different level of stand-up-ness (cause we just made that a thing). Tom Cotter jumped into the spotlight as the runner up during the 2012 season of America’s Got Talent and has seen an instant increase in national bookings that have changed his life as a professional comic.
